Ruby Ellen Allison

Mrs. Ruby York Allison, age 86, of Burlington, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at home with her family by her side. She was born on July 28,1936 to the late William Reuben Pore and the late Mittie York Gooch and was the wife of 21 years to the late Charlie Allison.    She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church where she was active in the WMU. She enjoyed baking, reading books and crossword puzzles. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and mother-in-law.    Ruby is survived by her son, Roy Allison and wife Catherine; daughter, Mildred McCuiston Eudy and husband Carrington; sister Frances Spears and two brothers, Charles and Chester Waddell; granddaughters, Ashley Cain and husband James, Nichole Allison and husband Josh Zachrich, Marie Page, Lisa Shephard and grandsons, Richie Bare and Tony McCuiston.  Ruby had 14 great-grandchildren; Joey, Katie, Cameron, Trina, Erin, Allen, Madison, Karley, Jeramiah, Julianna, Jabari, Jr., Adalynn and Raelynn; four nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Allison, sister, Hazel Moorefield and grandson, Baby Boy Allison.    A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00am on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev.
