Ruby enjoyed visiting Renfro Valley and attending the Apple Festival. Ruby loved her family dearly.
Ruby is survived by her son, Charles Edward (Sheila) Baker, Jr. of Moreland; grandson, Hunter Baker (Laura Spaulding) of TN; and a great-granddaughter, Ella Baker of TN.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Baker, Sr.; son, Ernie McGirr; grandchild, Levi Baker; great-grandchild, Eli Baker; brothers: Lewis, George, Jack, Arthur, Wayne, and Mitch Cochran; sisters, Pina Clayborn, Mabel Burkett, and Evona Lynn; and her companion for over 25 years, Icie Lee Vaught.
Visitation is 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday at 1:00 PM with Bro. Phillip Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in McGirr-Sandidge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Reed, Doyle Williams, Hunter Baker, Roy Thomas, Jeff Atwood, and Darren Pratt.
