Ruby Nell Bierstedt peacefully passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born to Alvin and Francis (McDougall) Stahl on December 18, 1934, in Marion, Texas.
Ruby will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed going dancing with Herbert throughout their 50+ year marriage. Her true passion was raising her 3 children and all those precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each one has their own memories of Grandma! Ruby will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert; and son, Douglas.
She is survived by son Blake Bierstedt (Sharon), daughter Linda Martin (Leslie) and daughter-in-law Vicki Bierstedt. Also surviving Ruby are grandchildren Johnathan Bierstedt (Dawn), Kristi Ranft (Derek), Lisa Lynn (Laura), Austin Martin (Miriam), Amanda Stevens (Zach), Denver and Kendall Bierstedt; great grandchildren Brenley and Maezey Bierstedt, Kaitlyn (Hannah), Dylan, Kinsley, Kinlyn Ranft, Lorelei and Sebastian Martin, Addison and Liam Stevens, Bowen and Barrett Bierstedt. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Harmony Stahl and Joy Stahl and brother-in-law Alton Bierstedt and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers are Johnathan Bierstedt, Denver Bierstedt, Kendall Bierstedt, Austin Martin, Derek Ranft and Zach Stevens. Honorary Pallbearers are Kristi Ranft, Lisa Lynn and Amanda Stevens.
Blake and Linda would like to thank the staff at Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center for taking such great care of our mother for the past 3 years. We would especially like to thank the staff on the 300 wing! You truly treated Mom like family and welcomed her family whenever anyone came to visit!
