Ruby Edna Anthony Bowman

Ruby Edna Anthony Bowman, 88, of Hudson passed away on Sunday May 9, 2021 at Caldwell Hospice following a period of declining health. Ruby was born on April 4, 1933 in Cleveland County to the late Boyce Anthony and Ella Craig Anthony. She was a employee of Alba-Waldensian for many years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bowman; children, Charles David Bowman, Jerry Dean Bowman; step-mother, Zessie Anthony; sisters, Dorothy Carswell, Bonnie Yancey, Mary Ellen Matthews, Azelee Chapman; brothers, Robert Anthony, Cyrus Anthony, Charles Anthony, and Larry Anthony. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Cox and Fiancé Dean Greene; grandchildren, Jennifer Cox Schultz and husband Adam, Brandi Nicole Cox and fiancé Jeremy, Kacie Bowman; great-grandchildren Adeline Marie Schultz, Davanee Grace Greene, Kyra Leigh Helms, Avia Nicole Helms, she was also like a grandmother to many children over the years; sisters, Caroleen Coffey, Wanda Deal; brothers, Donald Anthony, Ricky Anthony and wife Vickie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
