Ruby Boyd

Ruby Boyd age, 87, of Manor, GA went to be with our heavenly father Monday (May 9, 2022) following a long courageous battle with cancer.
Ms. Ruby Boyd was born October 4, 1934 daughter of Grandville Simmons and Shelly White Simmons.
Ms. Ruby was retired and spent her later years in Jacksonville, FL living with her daughter and son in law Teresa and Guss Plair and enjoyed spending her days alongside her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing BINGO, fishing and dancing and most of all she enjoyed gatherings alongside her family. Her most valued time was spent with her loved ones by her side laughing and making memories. She lived for her great grand babies and spent as much time as possible being present in their lives. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her most prized possessions and truly hung the moon in her eyes. She was loved by so many and truly touched people's lives with her charismatic ways and ability to make you laugh until you cried. She loved and loved with her every being. She was the funniest soul and had an ability to butcher a name like no other. To know her was to truly love her. She was one of a kind and will forever live on in our hearts forever.
Ms. Ruby is preceded in death by her late husband, Mr. Huey Boyd; parents Grandville and Shelly Simmons; three brothers G.C. Simmons, Wiley David Simmons and Norman Simmons; and one sister Hazel Bennett.
Though she will be missed terribly here, her smile and loving spirit will continue to live on through her most treasured blessings of all, her family.
Survivors to Ms. Ruby includes her daughter, Teresa Boyd Plair and husband Guss Plair; two sisters Dollie McDowell and Betty Gurley; three grandchildren, Guss Plair Jr. and wife Aura Plair, Brandi Hendrix and husband Kyle Hendrix, Alexie Beninati and husband Michael Beninati; six great grandchildren, Landon Plair, Cooper Plair, Aubri Plair, Hadley Beninati, Isabella Beninati and Palmer Rae Plair; and one grand puppy Jaxson Hendrix.
The family will receive friends Thursday (May 12, 2022) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Music Funeral Home in Waycross, GA. A funeral service will be held Friday (May 13, 2022) at 2 p.m. at Indian Mound Church in Millwood, GA. Burial will follow at Camp Branch in Manor, GA.
