Ruby Lee Hunter Bradford, age 94, was born in Dalark, Arkansas on March 12, 1930, to her loving parents, the late Joe and Estella (Butler) Hunter. Ruby Bradford transitioned from laboring on this earth to Heaven's rewards of the pearly gates while resting peacefully in her home.
Ruby accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Bethel AME Church until she met the love of her life and married the late Reverend Jesse Lee Bradford and moved her membership to First Missionary Baptist Church Rockport of
Malvern, AR. Ruby served as an Usher, Choir member, Kitchen Committee and loved working with the youth.
Ruby had endless love for her family and loved to cook a soulful dinner every Sunday after church until her health failed. She had a love for baseball, music, dancing, horses, flowers, cooking and caring for others before caring for herself.
She worked as a housekeeper at the Hot Springs Hotel and then as a care giver to her family members due to failing health. Ruby loved her family more than anything, especially her children, grandchildren who fondly called her Mama Ruby. You never knew who family was or not because she was fondly referred to as Mama Ruby or just Mama by all. She would just laugh and say, "all children are mine to love and care for because I will always have a rich life by being kind to others." Ruby was a sweet gentle soul who stood her ground when needed. She was truly a precious jewel.
Ruby was proceeded in death by her parents, Joe and Estella Hunter; husband, Reverend Jesse L. Bradford; daughters, Portia Jones Davis and Margaret Bradford; sons, Charles Bradford and Eddie Lee Bradford; granddaughter, Angela Bradford Thomas; great-grandsons, Silas Lee Jones and Brandon Bradford.
She leaves behind to cherish and celebrate her life's journey, her son, John Davis (Teresa) of
Malvern, Arkansas, her daughter in law, Onia Bradford Stephens (Rickey), her bonus son, Reverend Larry Banks (Cordelia).

"She Is Gone"
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
