Ruby Brewer

Ruby (Bays) Brewer, 87, of Harrogate TN, passed away at 8:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Tri-State Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on January 3, 1938, in Pineville, KY. She was the daughter of Peter C. Bays and Mary (Maiden) Bays. She married Jimmy Brewer on November 23, 1954.

Ruby attended Life Church in Middlesboro, KY. She loved to travel, sing, and minister at churches all over. She also loved quilting, canning, playing games, and spending time with her family. She was a giver. When you went to visit her, you never left empty handed. She loved to cook and entertain her family, friends, and loved ones.

She is survived by her brother, Leonard (Fran) Bays of Scipio, IN; her son, Ricky (Joyce) Brewer of Harrod Ohio; daughters, Debra Carroll of Columbus, IN, Barbara O’Neil of Attica, IN, and Anita (David) Oney of Harrogate TN. She was proceeded in death by her sons, Jerry Raymond Brewer and Larry Brewer; and daughters, Teresa Brewer and Kristy Lynne Compton. She left behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Full Gospel Temple of Love Church in Lima. There will a dinner directly following the Celebration Service in the church fellowship hall. All are invited.
