Ruby Brown Obituary
Ruby Elaine Council Brown, age 80 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at AdventHealth Gordon.
Ruby was born on August 8, 1943 in Wilkenson, GA, daughter of the late Leo Council and Ruby Jones Council. In addition to her parents, Ruby was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Madison Booth. Prior to retirement she was employed by Astro Dye. Ruby loved cooking and enjoying time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruby is survived by: her two children, Sharon Moncus and her husband Kenneth and Michael Poole; grandchildren, Miranda Escobar and her husband Carlos and Ashley Booth; great-grandchildren, Ashton Townsend, Matthew Booth, Anzolette Escobar, Jace Booth, Brentley Booth, Xlomara Escobar and Cayden Escobar; and siblings, Ralph Council and Lynette Balkum.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 12 PM until 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Corey Forsyth officiating.
