Ruby May Brown

Ruby May Brown, age 76, of Hayes, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Ruby was born on September 21, 1949, to the late William and Ida Mae Testament Hall. Ruby worked at Food Lion and enjoyed her time as a waitress at Sutton's Restaurant. She spent her free time working in her yard, but what she loved most of all was traveling with and spending time with her husband. Ruby was preceded in death by her soulmate, Lank Brown, Sr. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Britton, Susie Robins, and Lisa Ayers, thirteen grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and siblings Richard Hall and Faye Moore. In memory of Ruby, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Hospice, 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061. Services will be held at a later date. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory.
