Ruby Faye Brunson, affectionately known as Faye, graced this world with her vibrant spirit from November 11, 1942, until her departure on February 20, 2026. A beloved figure to those who had the distinct pleasure to know her, Ruby was a beacon of warmth and laughter, leaving an indelible on the lives she touched.
Faye spent years contributing her talents at Texas Instruments, a testament to her dedication and skill. Colleagues who worked alongside her will undoubtedly remember her not just for her work ethic, but for the glow of her beautiful smile that could brighten even the dreariest of days. Her caring and kind personality created a nurturing environment for all, making her not just a coworker but a cherished friend.
Beyond her professional life, she was a true multifaceted individual, delighting in the art of baking, bringing comfort and sweetness to those around her through her delectable creations. Her playful spirit shone through in her love for bingo and board games, where her laugh filled the room as she joyously played, coaxing others to join in the fun. In quiet moments, Faye could be found engrossed in a book, traveling through pages that offered her escapes into different worlds, a reflection of her love of life and adventure.
Faye's personality was a beacon of joy; her beautiful smile had the power to light up even the darkest of days. A caring and kind soul, she had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcomed, filling rooms with her laughter—a sound that resonated like music and lingered long after she left. Her love of life was evident in everything she did, from the earliest rays of morning when she would greet the day, to the countless evenings spent enjoying board games with family and friends.
Ruby's creativity extended beyond the kitchen and into her beloved pastime of crochet, where her skilled hands would weave warmth into beautiful pieces that spoke of her gentle heart. Each stitch was a reflection of her supportive nature and the care she put into every relationship, not only with family but with friends from all walks of life.
The community of Dallas will gather to celebrate Faye’s life in a heartfelt visitation on February 27, 2026, at Golden Gate Funeral Home, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and to honor her memory during the Funeral Service at Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church on February 28, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who adored her, in the laughter that follows her stories, and in the smiles inspired by her kindness. Ruby Faye Brunson, you were a treasure, a comforting presence in a chaotic world, a laughter on the lips of all who knew you. Until we meet again, your spirit remains vivid and cherished, a vibrant tapestry woven into the lives of so many.
