Ruby Parrish Campbell, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1932, to the late Arthur and Nancy Taylor Parrish.
In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Campbell in 2000.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert Mounce, and his wife, Cindy; daughter, Rhonda Johnson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She is one of twelve children, nine of whom preceded her in death, leaving her brother Larry Parrish and her sister Irene Shofety still with us.
A memorial service and interment ceremony will at held at 1:00pm on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Moravia Moravian Church at 2920 Oak Ridge Rd, Oak Ridge NC.
Ruby lived in both Tennessee and Georgia before moving back to North Carolina after her husband passed away. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren. Ruby's love for nature shown through with her job as a florist and the many animals she surrounded herself with throughout her life. She made sure to always donate to wildlife preservation charities. She always loved surrounding herself with flower arrangements. Ruby was often seen volunteering to cook at church benefits. She especially looked forward to helping make the pot pies every winter.
