Ruby Clark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Funeral Home - North Side (Austin-Peel & Son Chapel) on Oct. 1, 2025.
Ruby "Eloise" Beck Clark, 80, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2018, one day shy of her 57th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Arthur Southern Clark, Jr. She is survived by her husband, daughters Barbara Pappas (Mike), and Karen Kline (Eric); grandchildren Jim and John Pappas, Erika and Sarah Kline; sisters Cara Stafford, Elaine Granzow, and Ginni Shannon (Larry); sister-in-law Carol Jean Mize (Kenneth); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was born on October 22, 1937 to Archie Clyde Beck and Mallie Edith Davis Beck in Crenshaw County, Alabama. She retired from the American Cancer Society in St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Bobby Beck, Althea Fraser, Agnes Moncrief, Billy Beck (Donna), and brother-in-law Kenny Clark (Mary Sue). She was loved by many and will be remembered fondly. Eloise was an amazing Christian woman, excellent cook, good friend, wonderful Mom and Grammie. She loved Jesus and served Him faithfully since her childhood. Eloise liked nothing better than visiting and working with friends and family. We would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Mercy system in St. Louis who gave us more years together than we would have otherwise had, and the doctors and staff of St. David's South Austin Medical Center who cared for her during her last brief surgery/illness. We will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the Southern Baptist International Mission Board's Lottie Moon offering (www.sbc.net/give) in honor of Eloise.
