On July 7, 2025, at 9:31am our beautiful flower, Ruby "Jean" Corbett was plucked from our garden. Jean was born to the late Daisy Ann Jones and Moses Streeter Sr.,
"Jean" received her GED from Pitt Community College and was employed at AC Monk & Company for many years. After retiring, she opened "Corbett's Day Care Center" where she was affectionately known as "AUNT JEAN" until her retirement in 2004.
"Jean" married the love of her life, the late JC Corbett and to this union, two beautiful daughters were born: Angela and Calesha.
"Jean" was known for her flowers, casinos, yard sales and spendings time with family.
"Jean" was preceded in death by her husband, JC Corbett; her mother, Daisy Ann Jones; her father, Moses Streeter Sr.; sister, Alma Payne; brother, Moses Streeter, Jr.
"Jean" leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Angela Corbett (Michael) of Raleigh NC, Calesha Corbett (Todd) of the home; her Goote (granddaughter), Anjensha Shuler of Raleigh, NC; her five awesome grandsons, Izaiah Corbett, Isaac, Malachi, Jordan and Zion Pettaway of Farmville, NC; her pride and joy great grandbaby, Nashiya Tyson and her soon to arrive great- grandson, Kentrell Lamar Tyson in whom she called Mister; her maternal siblings, Verna Johson Snow Hill, NC, Annie Cooper Baltimore Md, Sharon Artis of Farmville, NC, John Jones (Patricia) Raleigh, NC, Beulah and Mary Jones of Fountain NC, Verlean Vines (David) Fountain, NC, Katie Dickens (Bernard) of Greenville, NC and Renita Jordan of Greensboro, NC; her paternal siblings, Annie Streeter, Mary Streeter, and Dolly Ward of Farmville NC, Carolyn Streeter Jones (Jesse), Joseph Streeter (Ruby) of Greenville, NC; a host of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
