William "Bill" Joseph Mountjoy

William “Bill� Joseph Mountjoy, age 74 of Mabelvale, Arkansas died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 28, 1935 to his late parents Glen Mountjoy and Mable Mitchell. Bill was the owner of Mountjoy Custom Draperies from 1970 until his retirement in 1998 and served in the United States Air Force for 8 years as a fireman. Bill’s love and passion was playing golf with his friends. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Barbara Scroggins Mountjoy; 3 children, Billy Mountjoy (Terri) of Bryant, Richard Key of Alexander, and Alyce Ann Cotton (Randy) of Hensley; 1 sister, Sandra Kroenke of Houstonia, Missouri; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Frank Mountjoy. Funeral services will be 2:30pm on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas (501) 455-1067 with Reverend Mark Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Funeral Home.
