Ruby Louise Dempsey

Ruby Louise Dempsey, 93, of Cross, SC, entered into eternal rest at home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Louise was born October 17, 1928 in Bamberg, SC, daughter of the late Henry C. Brown and the late Sylvester Fail Brown.
She is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Ravan (Mark) of Cross, SC and Robyn Dempsey of Texas; five grandchildren, Anthony Pacheco (Amanda), Ashley Shea (Christopher), Dakota Dempsey Huff, Christina Parriette (Collin), Stacia Long; nine great-grandchildren, Emily, River, and Calliope Pacheco, Finnegan, Philippa, and Francine Shea, Jasper Dempsey Huff, and Morgan and Cooper Parriette; one sister, Elma Brown Tuttle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harold Dempsey; seven brothers, Cornelius "Bubba" Brown, Lewis "Fonzie" Brown, Chambliss Brown, Cecil Brown, Orbie Brown, Colie "Dick" Brown, and L.A. Brown; and two sisters, Delma Brown Mansell and Wilma Brown Peeples.
Her celebration of life will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 in the J Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel at 1:00 pm.
The family would like to give special thanks to Roper Hospice, and those who loved and cared for Louise.
Her niece, Sylvia Ann Pratt, said it best. "What a woman, mother, aunt, sister, daughter, friend, and supporter to so many. To know her, was to love her."
