Ruby Drake

Ruby (Artz) Drake, age 88, of Troy, Ohio died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at her residence. She was born March 3, 1922 in Bethel Township, Ohio to the late Scarff and Olive (Senseman) Artz. She was married to Howard Drake who preceded her in death in 2003. Ruby is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Bob Walker of Troy, Ohio; Sandy and Larry Webb of Troy, Ohio; Sheila Drake McClure and Mike McClure of Thomasville, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kristi Drake of Troy, Ohio; grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and twin sister, Ruth (Artz) Frost of Kernersville, North Carolina. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruby was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. She was a member of the Troy Church of the Nazarene and was a nursery worker at the church for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Elizabeth Township High School and attended God's Bible School in Cincinnati. She was a former employee of Hobart Corporation in Troy. Service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Troy Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Barnhart Road, Troy, Ohio with son-in-law, Rev. Mike McClure officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call on the family at the church from 10:00AM-11:00AM on Wednesday.
