Ruby Bowers Duncan, 70, resident of Hodges, widow of Randall "Randy" Edward Duncan, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born October 21, 1953, in Newberry, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ridgell Kibler and Mary Frances Bundrick Bowers. She was a 1971 graduate of Greenwood High School received an Associate's from Greenwood High School Career Center in Nursing. Ruby retired from Self Regional Healthcare, once named Self Regional Healthcare LPN of the Year, and was previously employed with The Methodist Home.
She was a member of South Main Baptist Church and the Earlene Shirly Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a son, Gil Ketron (Katrina) of Greenwood; a step-daughter, Shay Duncan Brown (Michael) of Greenville; two sisters, Joy Craft (Wayne) of Greenwood and Kim Crawford of Ninety Six; a brother, Jack Zorn (Jeane) of Anderson; a grandchild, Sophia Wells Ketron; four step-grandchildren, Kelsie Forbes, Sean Forbes, Lyndsey Gray, and Grace Moore; a host of nieces and nephews; fur baby, Dolly; and special friend, Lisa Waits.
She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Doug Crawford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM Wednesday at Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Toby Frost officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be James Crawford, Josh Crawford, Robby Lybrand, and Kevin Sanders.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 Tuesday evening.
Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.
