GREENVILLE - Ruby Nell Dwyer, 93, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 11:50PM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Dwyer was born October 25, 1920, to Guy and Grace Redfern. She was a member of Leighs Chapel General Baptist Church. She was co-owner of a dairy farm and a grocery store and spent many hours doing voluntary work in her community. Ruby enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, quilting, and spending time with her family. For the past 2 1/2 years she enjoyed living at the Courtyard in Central City where she became friends with many residents and employees. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Dwyer, son Wayne "Mickey" Dwyer; and great-grandson Christian Matthew Wright. Survivors include her sons, Charles (Kay) Dwyer of Clarkston, WA and Terry Dwyer of Russellville; daughter Becky (Roger) Wright of Greenville; daughter-in-law Doris Dwyer of Rochester; grandchildren Angela (Ben) Enns of Denver, CO, Leigha (Jeff) Carsrud of Rapid City, SD, Chuck (Jodi) Dwyer of Clarkston, WA, Eric (Jo) Dwyer of Rapid City, SD, Stephanie Dwyer Fortney of Brentwood, TN, Scott Dwyer of Drakesboro, Michelle (Darren) Mathis of Central City, Matthew (Leslie) Wright of Soddy Daisy, TN, Faith Dwyer Farley of Belton, and Terry Dwyer II of Rochester; 23 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 2:00PM at Leighs Chapel General Baptist Church, with Rev. Roger Wright officiating, assisted by Rev. John Galyen. Burial in Old Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 10:00AM at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital; envelopes will be available at the church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
