Mrs. Virginia Boone Russell, age 83, of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Dover Care Center, with her loving daughter by her side. She was born on October 12, 1942, in Model, TN, the beloved daughter of Brack Willis and Hazel Lorine Mohon Boone.
Virginia worked for many years in several local clothing factories before joining the staff at Paris Landing State Park Restaurant as a food service worker. She was a dedicated employee who took great pride in her work and found joy in seeing families and friends gathered around a hearty buffet of "homestyle" cooking. After 28 years of faithful service, she humbly retired from her state position.
Virginia's greatest happiness came from her family. She loved nothing more than having her loved ones gathered at home, sharing meals, laughter, and stories that created memories to last a lifetime. Time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense joy and fulfillment.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Davin Lynn Russell and Mike Willis Russell; brother, Brack Boone, Jr.; and sister, Joyce Baggett.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jessie Garrett Russell; cherished daughter and son-in-law, Callie and Kevin Campbell; brothers, David Boone (Sula), Donnie Boone, and Danny Boone; sisters, Hilda Davis and Carol Glasgow (Mike); brother-in-law, Carl Baggett; grandchildren, Mika Lane (Justin), Monica Newman (Jimmy), and Matthew Campbell (Makaylee); and great-grandchildren, Alexia Lane, Michael Lane, William Newman, Scarlett Newman, and Collins Campbell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home, and will resume on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Sammie Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Doug Baggett, Gerald Baggett, Harold Brown, Timothy Boone, Michael Glasgow, and Nathan Boone.
