Ruby Ethridge Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch Funeral Service - Greenville on Oct. 27, 2025.
Ruby Nell Ethridge (Tew), 92, of Greenville, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025. Ruby was born on March 29, 1933, in Carthage, Texas, to parents Travis Tew and Sidney Bell Tew.

Ruby devoted her life to her family, her faith, and the simple joys of nature. A loving homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love and care. She was known for her deep compassion, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Though quiet by nature, Ruby's strength could always be felt - a strength rooted in her steadfast faith in the Lord. A member of Vansickle Baptist Church, her life reflected a deep and abiding trust in God.

Ruby had a special fondness for animals, flowers, and the beauty of the outdoors. She found peace in nature and shared that love with her family throughout her life. As a lifelong caregiver, she cared deeply not only for her children and grandchildren, but also for anyone in need of kindness or comfort.

She is survived by her loving children, Travis Holland and Theresa Mize and husband David; her cherished grandchild, Justin Mize; great-grandchildren Taylor Mize, Sara Mize, and Dayton Mize; and great-great-grandchildren Jordan, Jayce, Dominick, Maverick, and Novalee. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and beloved friends who will miss her dearly.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Travis Tew and Sidney Bell Tew; her first husband, Robert Cayce "Jr." Holland Jr.; her second husband, Bill Ethridge; and her sister, Imogene Wylie.

Visitation will be held at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, Texas.

Though she has gone to be with the Lord, Ruby's legacy of love, faith, and quiet strength will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
