Ruby G. Fitzgerald, 87, of 195 Hackberry Drive, passed away on December 10th, 2025, at her home.
A native of Cherokee County, she was the wife of the late James "Buck" Fitzgerald and daughter of the late Stacey "Dub" and Hazel Hughey. She was retired from working in textiles. Ruby-affectionately known as "Gaynell"-loved to cook and cherished making quilts, a craft she poured her creativity and love into throughout her life. She was also an attendee of Berry Memorial Church in Gaffney, SC.
Surviving Ruby are two children, Al Fitzgerald (Shazta), of Gaffney, Wanda Parker (Steve), of Gaffney; and sister, Gloria Owens, of Gaffney. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Stacey "Doug" Fitzgerald.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at 1:00pm at Oakland Cemetery.
The Gaffney location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the Fitzgerald family.
