Ruby Holm Glotzbach

Ruby Mae Glotzbach, 92, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Ruby was born November 9, 1932, in Topeka, the daughter of Earl and Bessie White Smith and attended Topeka High School. On November 19, 1949, Ruby and Douglas Wayne Holm were united in marriage, enjoying almost 40 years prior to his death on November 4, 1990. On December 9, 1994, Ruby and Dennis A. Glotzbach were wed. He passed away November 27, 2020.
Ruby worked at 1st National Bank, Beecroft Cole and the Federal Home Loan Bank, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Ruby was fun. She was strong, stubborn and spoke her mind. You couldn't keep her down. She had a beautiful smile that made her eyes sparkle. She loved her family and they loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed.
Grateful to have shared Ruby's life are her children, Edward Holm (Linda), Laurie Rivers, Mary Norton, Jeanette Brown (Dan); stepchildren, Steve Glotzbach, Byron Glotzbach (Sandra), Deanna Sheppard (Terry), Sondra Albright (Brian), and Becky Riis; 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Ruby was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Holm on September 19, 1957.
Visitation will be Monday, November 25, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with inurnment in Scranton Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church or Elara Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home.
