Ruby Bailey Goode

Ruby Bailey Goode, age 77, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her residence. Born August 14, 1940 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Hollis Lee Bailey and Lillie Alice Tessneer Bailey. She is also preceded by her husband, Clarence E. Goode and one brother, Sonny Boy "Bill" Bailey. Ruby worked for Stonecutter Mill and the Snack Bar in Hickory. She was a member of Morningstar Lake Baptist Church and enjoyed word search puzzles, gardening and her pets. Survivors include one daughter, Lori Bradley and husband, Thomas of Forest City and sister, Dorothy Loftis and husband, Larry also of Forest City. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Vonnie Bailey of Rutherfordton and a host of loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Grace Chapel of Forest City with Reverend Ricky Poteat officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
