Michael E. Hopper

Michael E. Hopper, 50, of Aurora, IN, passed away at 6:25 AM, Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 at his residence. Michael was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on February 13, 1967, a son of Laura S. (Woodruff) Swango, of Greendale, IN and Michael J. Hopper, of Bright, IN. He was a graduate of Lawrenceburg High School, Class of 1986. Michael served his country in the U.S. Army. He was the husband of Kimberly (Wallace) Hopper, who survives him. They were married on July 26th, 1986 at the Greendale First Baptist Church. He worked as a maintenance journeyman for Anchor Glass in Lawrenceburg, IN for over 13 years. Michael loved drag racing and classic cars. His 1967 Ford Fairlane was his pride and joy. In addition to his loving wife Kimberly, Michael is also survived by a daughter, Bethany Hopper (Forrest Clinger), of Clearwater, FL; by a son, Zachary Hopper, of Aurora, IN; by his father, Michael J. Hopper(Sharon), of Bright, IN; by his mother, Laura S. Swango(Lloyd), of Greendale, IN; by a sister, Katherine Workman, of Sarasota, FL; by a brother, Jeremy Hopper, of Greendale, IN; by a half brother, Carl Swango(Lauren), of Clearwater, FL; by nephews, Justin and Matthew Brunner, Chance and Ethan Hopper, Christian and Anthony Swango. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, September 18th at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Friends are invited to call Sunday 5-8 PM at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Aurora, IN.
