Ruby Hardin

Ruby Hardin, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2022. Ruby was a member of the Church of God for 60 years. Her service for the Lord was comfort to many as she often visited neighbors and community members to share the good news of the Lord and assist those in need of help.
She was a dedicated wife and mother, whose primary focus was to ensure her familythrived. Among her many accomplishments was a degree in Social Work from SWVCC. Her love for all was noted by many and her wisdom will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Vernon Hardin; parents, Perry and Victoria Johnson; brothers, Robert, Perry, and Eddie Johnson; sister, Jeannette Mayall.
Left to cherish her memory, children, Vernon Hardin (Kathy) of Cynthiana, KY, Donna Hurley (Lawrence) of Rogersville, TN, Regina Biggs (Sam) of Deland, FL; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd Johnson (Penny) of Rogersville; Jack Johnson (Rhonda) of Kimper, KY; aunt, Alice Williams of Williamson, WV; "sister", Elizabeth Brown of Newark, OH; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6 from 5-7pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Special singing service will begin at 7pm with Rev. Anthony Justice officiating. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, September 7 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home with Rev. J. Stephen Kimery officiating. Committal service will follow at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
