Ruby L. Harris, 91, of Bringhurst, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at her home. She was born on October 15, 1933, in Luxora, Arkansas, to Albert and Sciney (Henley) Harris. She married Huil Harrison and was married for 32 years before his passing. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, John Hayes.
Ruby was a 1951 graduate of Burnett High School. She worked for Sayco for 21 years and then for the Carroll County School Corporation for 7 years. She was a member of Bringhurst Community Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and being outdoors.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Michael Harris and Wayne (Patty) Harris; siblings, James (Susan) Harris, John (Jan) Harris, and Geraldine Macham; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Along with her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Harris; and sisters, Edna Marcum, Luvenia Hornsby and Sylvia Roson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 11am until the start of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Reinke Chapel in Flora. Pastor Brad Burton will officiate with the burial following at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
