My Mother and Ruby were cousins.I will always remember Ruby as a kind gentle woman with a wonderful smile. I spent a lot of time visiting her home on Clark Street where we lived in a adjourning building in what was known as The Lincoln Courts. My siblings and I were very close to her children, Marvin, Yvonne, Saundra and Oscar. When they moved to College Hill my sister Willa and I made the trip from Clark St to North Bend Rd to keep our relationship intact. Later, when she remarried and moved into the home her second husband built for her My Mother and I dropped in from time to time for a short visit.
Although I haven't been in touch for a while I will always remember the Willingham and Haslerig family. You are in our prayers.
