Ruby B. Hodge

Ruby B. Hodge, 95, of Richland Center, died on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Harvest Guest Home in Richland Center. She was born on February 16,1930, on the family homestead in Gault Hollow, the daughter of Edwin and Effie (Dieter) Anderson.
Ruby grew up in Gault Hollow roaming the hills with her pony. She graduated from Richland Center High School in 1949. She married William J. Hodge on November 23, 1951, together they raised three children in Richland Center.
Ruby worked at Lincoln Elementary School serving meals for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandma Ruby's house was the hub for all the grandchildren to eat, play games and make playdough. She had a way of making each of her grandchildren feel special. Ruby was a longtime member of the Richland United Methodist Church (Trinity UMC).
Ruby is survived by her children: Steven Hodge (Mary Killoy), Sandra (Leonard) McNamer, Sally (Mark) McCollum; grandchildren: Shane Killoy, Travis (Stephanie) Killoy, Jerod McCollum, Brandon (Heather) McCollum, Nick (Lacey) Hodge, Samantha (Luke) Kepler; Melissa (Rocky) Fisher, Angela Calderone; 19 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Effie, husband William, infant daughter Sheila, son-in-law Robert Killoy, grandson Timothy McNamer, six sisters: Norma Anderson, Camilla Miller, Vera Dalberg, Jeanne Vodak, Helen Cardin, and Joanne Millner.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM.
