Ruby Mae "Rube" Hubbard, 89
Ruby Mae Pistole Hubbard, 89 of McDermott, died Monday, November 18, 2024 at SOMC Hospice. She was born October 1, 1935 in West Portsmouth, to the late William Ernest and Alma Noel Pistole.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Homer, Carl, Bill, Russell and Ralph Pistole and 4 sisters; Janet Evans, Emogene Radcliff and Eloise Osborne, Mildred Pistole half sisters; Nedra Kenyon and Brenda Messer, half brothers; Herb and Danny Pistole, step sister Jean Webb and step brothers; Jimmy and Jerry Lockhart,
Ruby started her 45 year working career at Williams Shoe Manufacturing, then at Clare Cleaners for 15 years, then Western and Southern for 15 years. She also worked at Happy Days and All Night Pancake House. She was a member of Christ Community Church. She loved bowling, she bowled in a league for 17 years at Sunset Lanes. She also loved softball and was a member of the JJ Blazer Softball Team. She loved flowers, butterflies and spending time with her family. She was also a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds.
Ruby is survived by a son, Timothy Scott (Michele) McClure of Baltimore, Ohio, 3 daughters; Sheila Kay McClure of McDermott, Sherri Ann (Keith) Prose of Lucasville and Stacy Lynn (Brant) Dennis of Amesville, Ohio, along with 4 grandchildren; Kyle (Kala) Prose, of Hillsboro Cory Prose of Lucasville, Joseph Dennis of Athens and Scott McClure of Baltimore, 2 great grandchildren; Vivian and Julien Prose, a half brother Kevin Pistole, a sister in law Pat Pistole, a special niece Tina Evans along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Ralph Clay officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral from 6 to 8:00 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
