Ruby Cash Hunt

Mrs. Ruby Cash Hunt, age 91, of Hartwell, GA, formerly of Toccoa, GA passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Brown Convalescent Center in Royston, GA. Born September 12, 1922 in Stephens County, she was a daughter of the late William Lon and Nancy Dea Griffin Cash. She was a member of Toccoa Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Coats and Clark with 33 years of service. Mrs. Hunt loved gardening and making pound cakes. But most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary H. and Kevin O'Steen; granddaughters, Tanya Garner Keith (Michael), and Brandy Garner; and great-grandchildren, Erin Keith, Reese Garner, and Cash Wright; sister, Sarah C. Barrett and Mel; sisters-in-law, Margaret Cash and Jean Cash. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jackson Hunt; a great-grandson, Elijah Jackson Keith; siblings and their spouses, Louella C. and Lee Moore, Ruth C. and Fred Alexander, Howard Cash and Pauline Moore Cash, Grace C. and Ray Watkins, Garnett Cash and Carolyn, Minnie C. and Raymond Cox, Bill Cash, Mildred C. and William Phillips, and Clarence Cash. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Sunday, August 31, 2014 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary. Burial will follow at Allen's United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Saturday, August 30, 2014. Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
