Ruby F. Huntley

Ruby F. Weathers Huntley, 83, formerly of Spring Street, Arcadia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 18, 2009, at Magnolia Manor of Inman. Born February 21, 1926, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Furman E. and Allie Gilliam Weathers and the wife of the late James Baxter Huntley. A retired cosmetologist, she was the owner and operator of Huntley�s Styling Salon for 38 years. She was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. Survivors include two sons, Rudy Dale Huntley and his wife Jan, and James Michael Huntley, all of Spartanburg; a daughter, Kimberly Christina McCombs and her husband Jason of Easley; two sisters, Ruth W. Cothran and Martha W. Shelton, both of Inman; grandchildren, Melanie Jenkins, Todd Huntley, Kim Best, Dana Smith, Michael Huntley, Chad Huntley, Abbi and Caitlyn Rudisill, Natalie and Jordan McCombs, Jamie, Jeff, and Alan Pangle, and Kayla Parris Allen; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, William �Bill� Parris; a daughter, Barbara Ann Pangle; a sister, Mae W. Brittain; and a brother, Bill Weathers. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009, at Arcadia First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Joey Burnett and the Rev. Jeff Pangle. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Arcadia First Baptist Church, Box 25, Arcadia, SC 29320. The family is at their respective homes.
