Ruby Kudrle Obituary
Celebration of Life Gathering for Ruby L. Kudrle will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.
Ruby Louise (Cogburn) Kudrle, the daughter of Claude and Frances (McElroy) Cogburn, was born November 17, 1932 in Clayton, Oklahoma. Ruby graduated from Clayton High School.
After high school, Ruby continued her education at Eastern Oklahoma in Wilburton, OK May 1953 with Associate in Science went on to Southeastern State College and graduated May 1955 with Bachelor of Science in Education.
She was united in marriage to John Kudrle in October 1954. The family moved to Iowa where Ruby started teaching in the Sioux Rapids – Rembrandt School District. She taught until her daughter Joan was born but never passed up a teaching moment.
In her free time, Ruby enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter Joan (James) Grause of Clarion, sister Mary Lee (Don) Pruitt and brother David (Cherie) Cogburn along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and her sister Vallie Kirkes.
