Ruby Lanham Obituary
Ruby Juanita Lanham, age 94, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Murphy, North Carolina, to Delilah Hulsey, Ruby lived a long and fulfilling life devoted to her family, faith, and community.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delilah Hulsey; her beloved husband, William Thomas Lanham; and her daughter, Darlene Payne. She is survived by her grandchildren, Bryan and Gretchen Engel and Jillian Nooner; and her great-grandchildren, Sam and Ethan Nooner, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Ruby retired from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration after many years of dedicated service. In her free time, she was an active member of the Shriner Ladies and enjoyed camping, square dancing, and gardening. Her warmth, laughter, and love for life touched everyone who knew her.
Above all, Ruby will be remembered as a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother whose kindness and caring spirit will remain forever in the hearts of her family.
A service celebrating Ruby’s life will be held on Friday, November 14, at 10 a.m. at Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mossy Creek UMC in her honor.
