Ruby Lee Ephran Bailey

Ruby Lee Ephran Bailey, 95, of Victoria transitioned to heaven on January 3, 2026. Ruby was born July 5, 1930, in Wharton, Texas to the late Willie Ephran and Hattie Evans Ephran. She was a retired nurse assistant who was previously employed at Detar Hospital and Twin Pines Nursing Home for many years.
At an early age, Ruby accepted Jesus in her life. She joined Little Concord Baptist Church of Burr, Tx, where she was President of the Usher Board until moving to Victoria, Texas and uniting with Mount Nebo Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend F J Hobbs. While at Mount Nebo, she has served on the Usher Board, was a member of the mission, also a deaconess of the church. Also, for many years she was a member of the Heroines of Jericho chapter in Wharton, Tx till this chapter closed.
She was preceded in death by husband, Alex Bailey Sr, parents, Willie Ephran and Hattie Evans Ephran, sisters, Earline Bratcher, Betty Sodia, and Marjorie Horton, brothers, Herman Ephran Sr, Carl Ephran Sr, and Elward Ephran Sr and son-in- law David Prospere.
She is survived by daughters, Debra Prospere of Houston, Tx, Cathy(Charles) Sanders of Victoria, Regina(Jeff) Bailey, of San Antonio, Tx,; sons Alex( Leigh Ann) Bailey Jr and Michael Bailey Sr both of Victoria, sisters, Effie Bailey of Wharton, Tx, Yvonne Bailey of Huntsville, Tx, and Anna Moore of San Antonio, Tx; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
