Ruby Lee Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home - Clinton on Apr. 8, 2024.
Ruby A. Lee, 84, passed away on April 5, 2024, at Menorah Medical Center, in Overland Park, Kansas, with her family at her side.
Ruby was born in Carrollton, Missouri. On August 16, 1939, to George Clapper and Freda "Powell" Clapper. She went through 8th grade in school. Then she went on to the adult life and did many different jobs over the years, but floor covering installation was the one she enjoyed and lasted the longest. Ruby and Norman Lee were married on April 22, 1978, in Kansas City, Kansas. They had 45 Years of marriage and were coming up on 46.
Ruby was a housewife if you asked her. She had one natural born son and helped raise 13. She was a great cook and caregiver to not only the young ones in her life but also the older ones who needed her. She gave all of herself to others around her. Ruby bought the Thrush Store and made it an Antique Store and Kitchen. She served meals to many, especially the deer hunters over the years.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Norman Lee; sons, Ken (Melissa) Phegley, Danny (LeeAnn) Lee, Norman (Buzzy) Lee; daughters, Cindy Schlein, Tina Lee, and Keri Kepler; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends.
She was preceded by her parents George and Freda Clapper; sisters, Georgia King, Sharon Prather, and Sue Miller; brother, Billy Clapper.

I'm praying for the entire family who has lost, Mrs Ruby Lee.
Mom has no more pain and no more distress but a gaping hole has been left. Mom, was the glue that has kept the Phegley and Lee family together and strong. Let's not forget what she has taught and continue her legacy by keeping the Lee/Phegley family unit strong and continuous.
Be blessed.

In honor of Ken's Mom, Mrs Ruby Lee. I make a donation for a cure and prevention of Alzheimer's for our families and ourselves.
