A funeral service for Mrs. Ruby Mae Bone Warren, age 89, of Jacksonville, Alabama, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at K.L. Brown Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with her son, Calvin Keith Warren officiating. In celebration of Ruby's life, the family invites everyone to wear pink. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
Ruby passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025, at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her loving children; daughters, Debbie Tomlinson (Chuck) and Donna W. Shamblin, and son, Calvin Keith Warren (Dee); her son-in-law, Tony Taylor; grandchildren, Ben Tomlinson, Dan Tomlinson (Jes), Sam Tomlinson (Lauren), Paul Shamblin (Lauren), Rebecca Shamblin, Jason Trull, Hannah Trull, Casey Trull (Lexie), and Josh Taylor (Sarah); her cherished great-grandchildren, Colson Trull, Eva Tomlinson, Sophia Trull, Aubrey Taylor, Josie Taylor, Luke Tomlinson, Warren Trull, and Lily Tomlinson; sister, Louise Bedwell; brother, Bobby Bone (Connie); and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Calvin Warren, and her daughter, Renee Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Grace Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, where Ruby was a devoted and faithful member for many years. She especially cherished the fellowship and friendships she found in her Sunday school class.
Born in Cherokee County, Alabama, in 1936, Ruby graduated from Cherokee High School in 1954 and married Calvin Warren that same year. Together, they made Jacksonville their home and were the owners of Warren Ace Hardware. Ruby was known for her kind spirit, strong faith, and deep love for her family and community.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
