Ruby Della McCracken

Ruby Della McCracken, age 82 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2023. She was born on April 21, 1941, to the late Andy and Ruby Berry Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Leroy McCracken; son, Ricky Jay McCracken; brother, Andy Edwards; sisters: Lou Ann Hoover and Ellen Ballew.
Della was a strong Christian woman and a hard worker. She loved the Lord and trusted in him always. Della enjoyed gardening. She loved growing flowers, but she loved giving them away even more. Most of all, Della was a loving mother, and she will truly be missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Elaine Whitson and husband Roger; sisters: Betty McIntyre, Roxie Cromeans, Maxine Newton and husband Bill, and Jean Edwards; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home from 5 to 6 o'clock. The funeral service will follow the visitation. Reverend Russell Hughes will be officiating. Burial will be held the following day on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 11 o'clock in the McCracken Cemetery in Burnsville.
