Ruby Nell McGee, age 76, passed away on November 18, 2025, in Thomasville, Georgia. Ruby was born on June 20, 1949, in Adele, Georgia, to her loving parents, Edmond and Madoline Redfearn. She was a devoted wife and a caring mother who was known for her warm spirit and dedication to her family.
Ruby spent her career as a receptionist at Jon McGee Autoservice, where she was a cherished member of the team. Outside of work, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and shopping. She also played softball in the local women's league.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jon McGee, and their daughters, Dawn Sanford (David) of Montgomery, Alabama, and Sheryl Courtney (Jim) of Thomasville, Georgia. Ruby cherished her grandchildren, Camille, Lorrie, Thomas, Krystian, Caleb, Parker, and Ella. She also leaves behind her brothers, Danny Redfearn and Bob Redfearn. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers, Everett Redfearn and Bill Redfearn.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
