Allan Bergeson

Allan H. Bergeson, 94, of 40 Fredrick Blvd., passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025 at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing.
He was born in Jamestown Oct. 3, 1931, the son of the late Jens and Gunhild Barme Bergeson. He and his classmates were the last to graduate from the Celoron High School in 1947 before it centralized to the SWCS District. Allan also attended Alfred Tech College. He served in the US Navy from January 1951 to October of 1954 stationed on board the USS Bower seeing duty in the Mediterranean.
A career banker, Allan had worked for Liberty National Bank in Dunkirk, NY and later at Sun Bank in Florida. He was also a member of Kiwanis International.
Surviving is his sister, Nancy (Bill) Lahnen of Lakewood; many cousins including Dr. Mike (Lisa) Johnson of Lakewood; his classmate and friend, Rod Williams; and his companion of 11 years, Marla Galley of Yarmouth, Maine.
Allan was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Carlson Bergeson whom he married Oct. 26, 1985 and who died Nov. 3, 2003.
Following his wishes, no service or visitation will be observed. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
