Marie Kamachaitis Obituary

Marie T. Kamachaitis, 86, of Boyds, MD, died on December 29, 2017, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD. She was the loving wife of 66 years of William P. Kamachaitis. Born on July 21, 1931, in Mahanoy City, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma (Mertens) Klitsch. Besides her husband Marie is survived by her seven children, Marie VanderMolen, Patricia Ann Hardekopf, David Kamachaitis, Karen Kamachaitis, Nancy Ann Walker, Carol Ann Moore and Sue Ann DeSantis; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her brothers Gerald, Paul and Leo Klitsch and grandson Samuel Moore. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM with a Memorial Mass following at 11:00 AM on January 12th, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Rd., Barnesville, MD 20838. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery followed by a reception in the church pavilion. Arrangements by Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville, MD (hiltonfh.com)
