Ruby Marie Leonard Newberry, age 79 of the Willette Community in Macon County, TN passed away Sunday morning, February 1, 2026 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. Ruby is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.
Funeral Services for Ruby Marie Leonard Newberry will be conducted Wednesday morning, February 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Hugh Wayne Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Clark Cemetery.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
Family requests memorials be made to Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund. You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home.
She is preceded in death by: husband, Luie C. Newberry; parents, Porter & Mary Ellen (Knight) Leonard; great-grandchildren, Harley Evans & Landon Scheu; brothers, Danny “Fisher”, Bennie, Barry, Vestal, Larry, & Ed Leonard; sisters, Jean Cherry & Donna Davidson; devoted friend, Zelma Stafford.
Survivors include: children, Lisa Scheu & husband, David, Deborah Craighead & husband, Ricky all of Lafayette, Terry Newberry & wife, Christy, Mark Newberry all of the Willette Community; 7 grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Reba Ferguson of Rockdale, TX, Rita Hix of Red Boiling Springs; brother, Hugh Wayne Leonard of Bowling Green, KY; sister-in-law, Joyce Davis & husband, James of Port Orange, FL; brother-in-law, Lennis Cherry of the Leonard Community & several nieces & nephews.
