Ruby Norris Obituary
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-five years, William Hugh "W.H." Norris; son, William Hugh Norris, Jr; and sister, Patricia Cross.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Leah Lindsay Daly (Kevin); grandchildren, William Hugh Norris, III, Maxwell Elliott "Max" Norris; and Summer Hutchins; great-grandchildren, Damian, Letti, and Sawyer; half-sister, Joanna Fogle (Lee); and nieces, Beth and Caroline.
Ruby was a dedicated and faithful member of Adamsville Baptist Church for many years. She was also a member of the Goldsboro Extension Homemakers Club.
Ruby was a master gardener and known by all for her green thumb. She was a proud military wife, always supporting W.H. in his assignments with the United States Air Force.
Ruby's radiant personality touched all who came in contact with her. Her infectious smile could light up a room like none other. Ruby always chose to find the good in every situation, no matter what hand life dealt her.
A service to celebrate Ruby's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Adamsville Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Wright and Rev. Pete Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Adamsville Baptist Church, 1302 N. Berkeley Blvd, Goldsboro, NC 27534 or to your home church or a charity of your choosing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences may be sent to www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
