Ruby “Evelyn” Rye Parchment age 90 of Cumberland City, TN, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Cumberland City First Baptist Church with Pastor David Averitt officiating.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home, and again from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday afternoon at the church.
Evelyn entered this life on February 27, 1935 in Houston County, TN, daughter to the late Selmon David Rye and Addie Mai Alsobrooks Rye. Evelyn was a faithful member of Cumberland City First Baptist Church, and was a dedicated Christian who served her Lord. She was a devoted homemaker who had a sweet and kind spirit, who took great pleasure in her home, her children, and her grandchildren; she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Parchment; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Parchment; siblings, Jewel Clark, Gene Rye, and Shirley Mitchell.
Survivors include her loving children, Karen Parchment Williams, Sandra Parchment Nissen; grandchildren, Crystal Williams, Josh Williams, Erin Williams, Brett Morales, Brooke Morales, and Jason Nissen. Evelyn also leaves behind her brother in law, Ray Parchment; her special friend, Mary Lou Dobbins, and numerous precious cousins.
Nephews and other family members will serve as pallbearers, and honorary pallbearers.
