Funeral services for Delores De LaSalle Pender, 85, of Monroe, will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2024, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe with Warren Echardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. Pender passed away on December 24, 2024.
Mrs. Pender was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Selma Olive De LaSalle, brothers, Rayland, Glenn, Johnny, and Charles (Buddy) De LaSalle and sisters, Dorothy Windham and Ellen Waters.
She is survived by her husband Jerry T. Pender, Sr.; siblings Irene De LaSalle and sister n law Marcelle De LaSalle; children Denice Pender Gordy (Otis), Cynthia Pender Stastny, Jerry Pender, Jr., John Pender (Renee); grandchildren Heather Gordy Skains (Brady, Chris Gordy, John Stastny (Loren), Melissa Stastny, Matt Pender and Blake Pender; great-grandchildren Paige Smith, Caleb Smith; great-great-grandchild, Anthony Stastny.
Pallbearers will be Matt Pender, Blake Pender, John Stastny, Melissa Stastny, Paige Smith, and Caleb Smith.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM December 28, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Elara Caring Hospice and the staff at The Gardens for their professional care of Delores that went beyond duty as she became part of their family also.
