Something made me look further when I saw Ms. Poindexter's obituary mention her Birth in Historic, Van Vleck, Texas, a Negro Settlement, in Bay City, I'd never heard of. Then I thought, "Ms. Poindexter!" I attended Pleasantville Elementary when my late Aunt, Ida Bell Howard, was also a teacher there, and I remember Ms. Poindexter's presence well. Her vast and Beautiful African Legacy, I did. not. May the good Lord grant Ms. Poindexter blissful peace for a Job so well done, and for being a Survivor who exuded Peace in the midst of the storm she knew so well! Amen and Amen
