Ruby J Prebble

Ruby J. Prebble, 88, of North Bend, passed away on April 11, 2026, at Bucktail Medical Center in South Renovo.

Ruby was born May 24, 1937, in Renovo, a daughter of the late Philip E. Hevner, Sr. and Maude V. (Crossley) Hevner.

She was a 1955 graduate of St. Joseph's School in Renovo. On August 25, 1956, she married the love of her life, Donald S. Prebble who preceded her in death on January 31, 2004. In her early years, Ruby enjoyed riding motorcycles with Don and enjoyed playing Bridge. Her pride and joy were her great-grandsons and spending time with family.

She was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Renovo. She was a member of the CDA, a CCD teacher, Eucharistic Minister, choir member, Altar Rosary Society, attended daily mass, and worked at the church festivals.

Surviving Ruby is her son Michael Prebble, of North Bend; a daughter Lori and son-in-law Ben Moser of North Bend; a grandson, Justin Moser of North Bend; a granddaughter, Heidi (Moser) Ross of Williamsport; two great-grandsons, Dalton and Francis Ross of North Bend, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ann, three brothers, Philip Hevner, Jr., Richard D. Hevner, and Lewis P. (Joe) Hevner.

A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
