Ruby "yaya" Reyna, age 68 passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 4, 2026. Ruby was born November 20, 1957 in Corpus Christi, TX to Juan Bosquez Reyna and Hermina Salazar Reyna.
She was a proud graduate of Tuloso-Midway High School in 1977. Ruby retired after 30 years of service as Lead Custodian at Tuloso-Midway Independent School District.
Ruby loved her God and was a woman of faith. She served as a Guadalupana at Our Lady of The Rosay Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her unforgettable sense of humor, her laughter and warmth touched everyone who knew her. The love for her family was the heartbeat of her life. She was a loving friend, daughter, sister and aunt, (especially to all her nieces and nephews). Ruby was a proud supporter of Tuloso-Midway ISD. She enjoyed watching the NFL, listening to music, and had a love for sunflowers. Ruby was known for giving all her family members and friends playful nicknames. A special thank you to her best friend of 36 years Cindy Gallardo.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents Juan Bosquez Reyna and Hermina Salazar Reyna; her sisters Christina Reyna and Dolores Reyna Baskin; nephew Toby Keiper.
She is survived by her siblings Betty Keiper, Mary (Manuel) Lugo, Janie (Ysidro) Puente, Trini Luna, Linda (Richard) Resendez, Juan, Jr. (Janie) Reyna, Martin (Polly) Reyna, Susie Reyna.
Ruby will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family is deeply grateful to her sister Linda Resendez for devoting years as Yaya's caregiver.
