Ruby Lois Thomas Rippy, 89, of Mt. Holly, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.
She was born on March 4, 1934 in Stanly County, NC, to the late Clyde and Nina Speights Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Loney, Mazella Smith, Hartsell Marie Thomas, Edith Brotherton; and brothers, William Thomas, Jessie Thomas, Kenny Thomas, John Thomas; and granddaughter, Dr. Tiffany Cummings.
She is survived by her children, Glenda Cummings, Frank Daniel Rippy (Isabell), James "David" Rippy, David "Scott" Rippy (Chandra); sister, Peggy Pope; brother, Larry Thomas; grandchildren, Tonya Rippy, Michael Rippy, Michelle Rippy, Rima Ivy, Aliyah Gafoor; great grandchildren, Everly Lewis, Arianna Lewis, Alexis Ivy, Ashton Ivy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 3 at the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Chaplain Russell Files officiating.
