Ruby Roach

Ruby (Lotts) Roach, 70, of Waynesboro, went to her heavenly home, Saturday, April 18, 2009.

She was born July 1, 1938, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late James E., and Edith (Carroll) Lotts.

Ruby was employed with G.E./Genicom, and after 40 years of service she retired. A Methodist in faith, Ruby was an avid bowler and was a member of the Waynesboro Moose, Chapter 1235, since 1978.

In addition to her parents, on January 3, 1975, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon O. Roach, with whom she shared a devoted and blessed union of more than 18 years. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Tootsie Campbell.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Almarode and Pamela Roach; grandchildren, Cortney Campbell and Matthew Almarode; two great- grandchildren, both of which she adored tremendously, Raina and Adalyn Campbell; special grandson-in-law, Allen Campbell; sister, Mrs. Robert (Marie) Martin; brother, James Ellwood Lotts; a half brother and a half sister, Eddie Lotts and Brenda Baber; special neighbors, the Hostetter and the Price families; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Augusta Memorial Park Cemetery, Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, with the Reverend Matthew Coiner, officiating. The family requests that those attending the services dress in casual attire.

Following the graveside service, a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory, 618 West Main Street.

All who are wishing to share in this time of meal and fellowship are welcome.

Memorial contributions may be made, in honor of Ruby Roach, to the Waynesboro First Aid Crew, 201 West Broad Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
