Ruby Jean Robinson

Ruby Jean Robinson passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, in Carrollton, Georgia, after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Ruby was born on January 16, 1957, in Ashland, Wisconsin, to Bill and Bert (Williams) Granlund. She was raised on the family dairy farm in Oulu, Wisconsin, and graduated from South Shore High School in 1975.

In 1987, Ruby married Ronnie Robinson in Carrollton, Georgia. She worked as a nurse at Tanner Hospital and was known for her compassion and dedication. Ruby was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and especially adored her grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband, Ronnie, in 2013.

She is survived by her daughter, Kyra (Ryan) Holley of Sharpsburg; her son, Ryan (Kimberly) Robinson of Honolulu; and her stepson, Chris (Allison) Robinson of Rockmart. Ruby was a proud grandmother to Savannah, Everett, Lennox, Athena, Maisie, and Henry. She is also survived by her siblings: Sue (Jim) Vojacek, Mike Granlund, Jim (Renie) Granlund, and Mark Granlund, along with many more relatives and dear friends.

Ruby’s warmth, strength, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
